The MAWM is a device for accelerating the
wear of a flooring surface in order to
predict how its slip resistance will change
when installed.

How does it work?
A reciprocating arm moves a weighted
rubber slider back and forth across the
flooring sample, gently abrading it. A
Pendulum slip test is used to determine
slip resistance at points during the wearing
process.
