A Laboratory water bath of MRC.
It is used to incubate samples in water at a constant temperature over a long period of time. The water flow in the water bath in the laboratory maintains the uniformity of the temperature and provides a good working environment for testing and experiments.
Laboratory water baths
Water baths differ from each other in several factors:
-Stainless steel or polycarbonate water bath that allows you to see the media.
-Water bath without or with circulation. Water bath with internal circulation has better temperature uniformity.
-Water bath with cooling without cooling. A water bath with a cooler allows you to drop to a temperature below room temperature.
-Water bath with external circulation -Outdoor circulation allows to heat external facilities such as a double-walled reactor.
Water baths with a magnetic stirrer allow you to heat and mix the liquid in the vessel at the same time.
A water bath with a shaker is designed to simultaneously heat liquids in several dishes.
Important points for a water bath
-never heat a bath fluid above the flashpoint.
-Only distilled water should be used
-The bath should be cleaned and disinfected frequently to prevent organisms
-It is important to use waterproof resistant labels
-Keep in the bath cover to reach the highest possible temperatures
-It should be noted that during the experiment or study the bath will be placed in a stable place without displacement
